Application of our products for humans & animals
Informations for application on humansn
According to the legislation in Germany, all products containing cannabidiol, such as oils, isolates, capsules, mouth spray, etc., may not exceed the THC content of 0.2%. Whereas in Austria the THC limit is 0.3% and in Switzerland even 1%. If these limits are exceeded, these preparations violate the current BtMG.
What consumer protection and EFSA says
Officially, cannabidiol as a food supplement, as it is currently available everywhere, is currently not classified as marketable in Germany according to consumer protection and the EFSA (the European Food Safety Authority) (as of 03/2019). This means that, strictly speaking, no products containing cannabidiol may be sold as food supplements. But this is exactly what happens. If a manufacturer then prints a dosage recommendation on the packaging, it can lead to consumer protection and the EFSA taking notice. Consequently, the EFSA then examines whether the limit of 1µg lta -9- THC per kg body weight is exceeded in any case if the dosage recommendations are adhered to and whether it is a so-called "novel food". If the limit values are exceeded, the product is classified as "dangerous" and withdrawn from circulation by the responsible control authorities. In addition, products that are considered novel foods fall under the Novel Food Regulation and thus require separate approval by EFSA.
Canutree's Aroma Products
An important component of our aroma products is a full-spectrum hemp extract. On the one hand, the extract contains secondary plant substances such as terpenes, cannabidiol, cannabinol, cannabigerol, etc., and on the other hand, a natural proportion of tetrahydrocannabinol. In any case, the THC content is below the legally prescribed 0.2% and thus does not come into conflict with the current narcotics law.
In order to comply with the guidelines of consumer protection agencies and EFSA, we do not recommend the consumption of our aroma capsules and aroma oils.
According to other manufacturers, the plant extract can be consumed in many ways. Whether in good old DIY style, as butter or cocoa (more on this later), as oil or as capsules. There are hardly any limits to the way it can be taken. However, each type of consumption promises a different intensity or duration of effect. But the easiest way is to take the Sub Lingual vegetable oil. To be more precise, you simply drop a few drops under your tongue and let the oil take effect before swallowing it. This method of ingestion promises the quickest absorption, as the oil is absorbed directly through the sensitive mucous membrane of the mouth.
Canutree's Aroma Capsules
Firstly, the advantage of our capsules lies in the vegan processing. Secondly, it also lies in the delayed absorption, because the capsules are only completely decomposed after the stomach. This promises a long-lasting effect and also has a beneficial effect on the entire digestive tract.
However, we advise against the consumption of our aroma capsules and aroma oils in order to comply with the guidelines of consumer protection agencies and the EFSA.
On the one hand, cannabidiol is promoted as a miracle weapon against pretty much every everyday ailment. Cannabidiol is said to have a healing effect on sleep disorders, inner restlessness, anxiety and tension, menstrual cramps, chronic pain, sore muscles and arthritis. On the other hand, only positive effects in connection with infantile epilepsy and multiple sclerosis have been scientifically proven so far.
On the one hand, in many countries such as Switzerland, Canada and the USA (California), CBD oil and CBD capsules may be taken orally. For example, in Switzerland the dosage recommendations go from 2-3 times 2-4 drops (10D) or 2-3 times 2-4 capsules (10% CBD) daily.
However, we advise against the consumption of our aroma capsules and aroma oils and do not give any dosage recommendations. in order to comply with the guidelines of consumer protection agencies and the EFSA.
Informations for use in animals
The phytocannabinoid is not only effective in humans, but also in animals as an anti-epileptic. Moreover, similar positive effects on the animal body are suspected, as in humans. However, a distinction must be made here between the species of the animal and its weight. In addition, positive effects on arthrosis in dogs have been found in studies without recognisable side effects. The same study states that the plant substance should be administered a maximum of 2 times a day, at a dose of 2 mg/kg. In addition, according to other manufacturers, CBD is generally considered to have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Furthermore, according to various studies, CBD can also reduce stress and improve sleep. Likewise, CBD can reduce anxiety and panic and provide an improved sense of well-being.
Similar to humans, we recommend starting with very low doses and gradually increasing them. For this reason, we also recommend that cannabidiol is always discontinued to avoid possible accumulation effects. Although there is no known risk, we want to be as careful as possible with our four-legged friends. In general, however, no direct toxicity in (domestic) animals is known when dosed carefully. However, more research is needed to determine further effects.
Yes, since animals have an endocannabinoid system just like humans, CBD offers your pet several benefits.
For this reason, CBD can be used in many ways. Besides relieving pain, inflammation, stiff muscles and joints, and anxiety, it can stimulate your pet's appetite.
Pets are usually smaller than humans. As a result, they usually need significantly less CBD than you may need yourself.
On the one hand, there is cannabidiol (hemp extract) currently in the EU gem.
For this reason, our aroma capsules are not suitable for consumption and are only intended for external coat and skin care.
For example, in Switzerland, Canada and the USA (California), cannabidiol oil and cannabidiol capsules are administered orally to cats and dogs for various ailments.
Dosage recommendations from veterinarians
Veterinarians recommend a dosage of 0.5 mg cannabidiol per kg body weight twice a day for cats and 2 mg per kg body weight twice a day for dogs. Canutree's aroma capsules for animals have 1 mg CBD per capsule.
What does the EU say ?
Within the EU, there is no authorisation of cannabidiol-containing products as feed additives for internal use. There, it may only be used externally for coat care.
